Chyna was born on December 27, 1971 in Londonderry, New Hampshire and her real name is Joanie Laurer.
She was a professional American wrestler and body builder that retired from competitive sport and later became an actress and model.
She is 5'10'' and now lives in Los Angeles, California.
Apart from modeling nude for magazines like Playboy, Chyna has also made many guest appearances on a variety of different television programs that include, ‘Third Rock From The Sun’, ‘Pacific Blue’, ‘Relic Hunter’ and ‘Fear Factor and then later in the 4th season of VH1's show ‘The Surreal Life’ with Da Brat, Jane Wiedlin, Christopher Knight, Verne Troyer, Adrianne Curry and Marcus Schenkenberg with whom she was rumored to be dating.
Sadly, after she appeared on the ‘Howard Stern Show’ in 2005 it became abundantly clear that she had a severe substance abuse problem but several months later she returned to T.V. for the ‘Surreal Life’ reunion where she claimed to be a reformed character and free from drugs, and to her credit she appeared to have regained much of her former muscle mass.
She has appeared in several movies too, such as Alien Fury, Countdown to Invasion (2000); Frank McKlusky, C.I. (2002); Hunter: Back in Force (2003); Just Another Romantic Wrestling Comedy (2005); One Night in China(2004).
Chyna then taped a celebrity porn video with the ex-WWE wrestler X-Pac but later claimed that X-Pac's potential return to the league would likely prevent the release of their video.
